Leftover Roots are those pieces of fresh, raw, food that often get scrapped but with creativity, can be re-purposed, re-rooted and sprout into new growth. The idea of this blog is that we are all rooted, and re-rooted, in something that feeds our souls. My roots, although sprouted, span deep in many directions- one of which has grown from the fortune of crafting a full and nourishing plate.

From root to fork and pan to plate- I choose to create this blog as a testament to the roots, techniques, and flavors that contribute to the tradition, fusion, and taste of each bite. The best tasting fruits come from the heat of your labor. Every cook starts somewhere, and I am comin’ in hot, ready to share the feast!
